Jo Abergel

Jo Abergel founded local training company, Rock Learning, in 2015. Originally from the voluntary youth sector, Jo has held both HR and management roles in Gibraltar across various sectors including financial services, online gaming and a philanthropic trust. An accredited trainer of the Institute for Leadership & Management, Jo organises and facilitates a variety of courses and conferences in Gibraltar. Jo is the immediate past Chairperson of Childline Gibraltar, where she still volunteers as an Appropriate Adult, and is a member of the Gibraltar CIPD Branch Committee.

Charlene Figueras

Charlene Figueras is a qualified Social and Youth Worker, presently forming part of the Senior Management team of Gibraltar’s Youth Service. In her long association with the Gibraltar Youth Service (spanning over 20 years) she has contributed to a wide range of community, charitable and social educational projects aimed at bettering the opportunities for a wide cross-section of our society. Her latest efforts in this sphere is in the form of her contribution to the devising and implementation of www.careers.gi, geared towards offering insights and a practical bridge into a broad range of professions.

Jamie Napoli

Jamie Napoli is a qualified Youth & Community Worker with over 10 years of experience, presently overseeing the management of Laguna Youth Club, Alternative Learning Curriculum Youth Programme and co-leading on the development of www.careers.gi – a website geared towards offering career insights to young people in Gibraltar. After completing his degree in Youth Work he worked in various deprived areas in Wales including forming part of Youth Inclusion Support Programmes and Youth Offending Teams before returning to Gibraltar to take up a full time post with the Gibraltar Youth Service (GYS). His time with the Youth Service spans 8 years where he contributes to the overall development of young people’s personal, social and educational development.

Kat Banbury

Kat Banbury is an early talent acquisition specialist with extensive in-house and consultancy experience. After managing graduate recruitment and development programmes within banking and law, Kat set up KB Graduate Solutions in 2017 and now provides a wide range of operational and strategic support for companies hiring students and graduates across various industries. Kat is also the current Treasurer – and enthusiastic committee member – of the Gibraltar CIPD branch.

Kat is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential and find fulfilling careers and has a particular interest in social mobility and diversity, equity and inclusion best practice.
